Community Folk Art Center (CFAC) will sponsor Creative Arts Academy (CAA) 2019 Summer Arts & Culture Camp for 4 weeks: July 8th – August 2nd, 2019 from 10:00am – 3:00pm. Drop off starting at 9:45 am and pick up until 3:15pm. Transportation is not available.
Young creatives in grades 5-8 will be immersed in a cultural journey through the arts that will help them explore their voices and engage in an examination of freedom and community.This four-week experience will be based on principles from the Freedom Schools (created by SNCC in 1964) that promoted education meant to support young people becoming active agents in their own education. At CFAC, “we are particularly interested in exploring those principles through creative, reflective, and artistic experiences – and OF COURSE we will have fun along the way!”
