UHC and Food Bank of CNY to Bring Free Fresh Produce “Pop-Up” Markets to Syracuse on August 24, 2019

As part of its “Do Good. Live Well” employee volunteer initiative, UnitedHealthcare is partnering with Food Bank of Central New York, an organization that provides more than 12 million meals to hungry families, children and elderly in Syracuse every year.

Through a $15,000 donation, UnitedHealthcare will work with Food Bank of CNY to provide free fresh produce at two free pop-up markets in Syracuse’s Southside and Westside neighborhoods.

This program aims to improve access to nutrition and help people in Central New York – where one in eight individuals is food insecure – lead healthier lives.
