On Sunday, October 13, 2019, at approximately 5:26 p.m., Officers responded to the 900 block of Comstock Avenue for a reported robbery. The victim, a 30 year old female, reported that she was approached by three suspects, one of which was armed with what appeared to be a handgun, and that they demanded her cell phone, iPad, and necklace.
As Officers were arriving they observed three subjects matching the suspect descriptions provided. When Officers attempted to stop these individuals they fled on foot. After a foot pursuit all three subjects were apprehended. The suspects were later identified as juveniles, ages 17, 16, and 12 years old. Officers were able to recover the victim’s cell phone and a portion of her necklace, however, other proceeds and the reported handgun were not located.
All the suspects were charged with Robbery in the First Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree. The 12 year old was issued a juvenile appearance ticket and released to his guardian. The 16 and 17 year old’s were arraigned and remanded to Hillbrook Detention Center.
