The Syracuse Police Department Make Arrest After Call of Shots Fired at Looker’s Showclub

On August 1, 2021 at about 3:46 A.M. Syracuse Police Officers were in the area of Looker’s Showclub, located at 1400 N. Salina St. for a call of Shots Fired. While there, and among a crowd of approximately 200 people, officers heard more gunshots. Officers Brandon Falise and Nicholas Cramer spotted a male, later identified as Devonaire King firing a weapon in the crowd. They were able to take King into custody without incident, and recover a loaded Highpoint 9mm handgun. King, 24 years of age, of Syracuse was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (2 counts), and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th. King was lodged in the Onondaga County Justice Center.

Although there were approximately 200 people in the area, there were no reports of injury, but two vehicles were struck by gunfire.
