The Syracuse Police Department Investigate N. Alvord Street Shooting

On August 15, 2021 at about 2:42 A.M. Syracuse Police Officers responded to the 700 block of N. Alvord St. for a call of shots fired.  At the same time, information was received that there was a single motor vehicle collision in the 300 block of Pond St., which was at the end of N. Alvord St. Arriving officers found evidence that shots had been fired in the 700 block of N. Alvord St., and that the driver of the vehicle that crashed had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper part of his body. The 31-year-old male victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

This investigation is very active and ongoing. Further information will be released when it becomes available.
