The Summit Federal Credit Union “Taste of Syracuse 2022” Presented by Tops to Feature Everclear

Syracuse, NY – Central New York’s biggest food and music festival will return on Friday, June 3 and Saturday, June 4, 2022 in and around Clinton Square from 11:00am to 11:00pm both days. Admission is free.  The much-anticipated Festival returns after a two-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Summit Federal Credit Union Taste of Syracuse is presented by Tops Friendly Markets.

The Taste of Syracuse will have non-stop music for two days featuring over 33 bands. The Grammy-Award nominated, iconic 90’s alternative band, Everclear, will headline the festival on Saturday night on the Holbrook Heating and Air Lennox Premier Main Stage.  Additionally, the popular youth talent showcase will return to the Mess’s Fireworks Clinton Square Stage on Saturday from 11:00am-1:30pm.

Festival-goers will have the chance to sample delicious items from local eateries for only $2. Several new restaurants and vendors will be joining the 2022 festival, and many fan favorites will be returning.

The Taste of Syracuse will collect donations for two charitable organizations, McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center and Make-A-Wish Central New York. The Summit, Tops, along with other sponsors and vendors will be working with the festival to raise money for these great charities all weekend long.  All proceeds from activities at The Summit’s tent and the Tops tent will be donated to the charities.

“As a local credit union who is committed to supporting Syracuse, The Summit is so excited to be back as the title sponsor of this fantastic event,” said Twanda Christensen, Vice President of Marketing and Community Engagement for The Summit Federal Credit Union.  “Please stop by our tent for fun activities and contests.  All money raised goes directly to McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center and Make-A-Wish Central New York, two charities that strengthen our communities and make a difference in the lives of area children.”

“We are very pleased to return as the presenting sponsor of the Taste of Syracuse,” said Kathleen Allen, senior manager of community relations for Tops Friendly Markets.  “As the neighborhood grocery store serving the Syracuse community, we truly feel this is the right place to showcase our products.  We invite everyone to stop by our tent and help us support McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center and Make-A-Wish Central New York as we will be donating 100% of our proceeds to benefit these wonderful charities.”

“We’re excited to back and are ready to celebrate the 24th anniversary of the Taste of Syracuse,” said Galaxy Media chief operating officer, Carrie Wojtaszek. “No matter what you’re looking for, musically or food-wise, we truly can say we’ve got it at the Taste of Syracuse!  We’re also thrilled to be raising awareness and funds for both McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center and Make-A-Wish Central New York. We’d like to thank The Summit Federal Credit Union and Tops Friendly Markets for their support.  With help from our sponsors, we’re able to showcase this amazing event to the CNY community!”
