Syracuse Police Investigate Beard Ave. Shooting

On Monday, June 8th, 2020, at around 8:53 A.M., Officers responded to the 200 block of W. Beard Ave. for a shots fired type call. Upon arrival, Officers located a vehicle in the street that had been hit by gunfire.

Witnesses reported seeing two vehicles crashing into each other and shooting at each other. A short time later, Officers located one of the vehicles involved at the intersection of E. Adams St. and Almond St. The driver of that vehicle suffered from a gunshot wound to the leg and arm. The male was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is expected to survive.

The location of the occupants of the other vehicle involved are still under investigation. The investigation is active and ongoing; anyone with information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442 – 5222.
