Independent Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced his endorsement of Vernon Williams Jr. for re-election as Onondaga County Legislature in the 16th District. Williams is running on the Working Families Line and will appear on Row D on the ballot.
“Vernon has worked tirelessly on behalf of the residents in his district and is a passionate advocate for the Community Grid option to replace the I-81 viaduct,” said Mayor Walsh. “I am proud to support Vernon for re-election.”
“I am honored and humbled to receive Mayor Walsh’s endorsement of my campaign. It speaks volumes when you have a great leader like the Mayor who supports our community and my re-election campaign for County Legislator,” said Williams. “We have built a great working relationship to advance our community in a positive direction. I look forward to continuing that partnership — let’s keep rising and keep the change.”
