Meeting Jam Packed with Important decisions; Banking and Gerrymandering are on the Agenda
There was a Q&A Session from the Syracuse Common Council committee meeting on May 21st with Susan Lerner of Common Cause New York, Dustin M. Czarny of the Onondaga County Board of Elections, and Christopher Ryan 8th District County Legislator.

Helen Hudson Syracuse Common Council President moderated and others were instrumental in this process including; Joe Driscoll – 5th District Councilor, Latoya Allen For A Better Syracuse, Michael Greene- Syracuse Councilor at Large, Timothy M Rudd, Steve Thompson, & Khalid Bey, Councilor at-Large and President Pro Tempore, City of Syracuse for their questions.
There’s a Common Council meeting at noon on June 3rd Council meeting where Fair Maps CNY may be approved. If the Council approves, Syracuse can be the first city east of the Mississippi to take on gerrymandering in our own backyard. Banking is also on the agenda as City of Syracuse to Endorse Municipal Depository Choice, this promises to be a historic day in the City of Syracuse due to actions that may be taken by the Common Council.
