For the 26th year, the Wladis Hat and Gloves Foundation, Inc. will donate free hats and gloves to Syracuse City School District students. The Wladis Hat & Glove Giveaway was first started by the late George Wladis at Seymour Elementary in 1997. His sons, Mark and Steven, have gradually expanded the initiative, now providing each Pre-K through sixth grade student in 19 SCSD schools with a winter hat and a pair of gloves each year. This year’s distribution will take place on Thursday, December 8th.
On Thursday, December 8th, hats and gloves will be distributed to students throughout the Syracuse City School District. The Wladis family, along with Interim Superintendent Anthony Davis, will personally distribute hats and gloves to students at Webster Elementary (500 Wadsworth Street)
