STAY AND PLAY AT OCC FOR M&T JAZZ FEST

SYRACUSE, NY For the first time in Onondaga Community College’s nearly 50-year history, visitors to the Syracuse M&T Jazz Fest have the chance to stay overnight in the brand-new, ultra-modern, all-suite residence halls. The Syracuse M&T Jazz Fest will be held Friday, June 29 – Sunday, July 1, 2007. This year marks the seventh consecutive year the event has been held at Onondaga Community College.

“It is truly exciting to be able to offer the many dedicated and enthusiastic jazz fans the opportunity to spend the weekend in our state-of-the-art residence halls,” said OCC President Debbie L. Sydow, Ph.D. “Those who have enjoyed Jazz Fest for years as well as new visitors will be only steps away from all of the festivities.”

Newly opened for students less than a year ago, the townhouse-style suites are smoke-free, ADA compliant and a short walk from all of the Jazz Fest concerts and events.

The residence halls are the newest addition to the beautiful 230-acre Onondaga Community College campus located atop Onondaga Hill. With a stunning hillside landscape surrounded by wooded terrain, walking trails and expansive views of the city, the residence halls are a perfect complement to Jazz Fest.

Each of the comfortable suites features:

Air-conditioning
Full kitchen
Spacious living room
Two full bathrooms
High-speed Internet and wireless capabilities
Convenient parking behind residence halls

Each suite can accommodate up to five people with a total cost of $300 per night, per suite, with a two-night minimum. Continental breakfast and parking are included in this rate.

“This is a fantastic new Jazz Fest feature and we’re delighted that the College is making this wonderful service available to festival visitors for the first-time ever,” said executive director and founder of Syracuse M&T Jazz Fest, Frank Malfitano.
