The sun keeps pushing through the clouds today ? so we can enjoy Sankofa Fest ‘19. Mayor Walsh visited Sankofa Park to say hello to neighbors, performers, and vendors. Sankofa Fest is a biannual of the Sankofa District which runs along South Salina Street from Taylor Street. The festival and district champions locally owned businesses, cultural, social, and artistic venues, and historic housing along the South Salina Street corridor.
The festival features local favorites like Truth Speaker, Dashé Roberts and Elks 315 Drum Line as well as national acts like hip hop violinist Windy Indie and Farrah Boulé and Tribal Hop.
