Robbery, Stabbing and Burglary: Monday August 8th Busy Time Period for Syracuse Police

Griffiths Street Stabbing Reported – Monday, August 8th, 2022, at around 12:48 A.M., Officers responded to an apartment at 110 Griffiths Street for a stabbing investigation.   Upon arrival, Officers located a 24-year-old male who was stabbed in the midsection.  The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is expected to survive.  The victim reported being stabbed just prior to police arrival while in the 900 block of Butternut Street.  The victim reported that three males physically attacked him, and one of the males stabbed him in the midsection.  The suspects fled the scene after the attack.*

Police Respond to W. Fayette Street Burglary – Monday, August 8th, 2022, at around 2:29 A.M., Officers responded to 601 W. Fayette Street for a burglary investigation.   Upon arrival, Officers met with a 30-year-old male who reported a burglary having just occurred.  The victim, who is overnight security for the building, reported that three males had just broken into the building.  The victim said he confronted the suspects, and that is when the group physically attacked him.  After the attack, the suspect fled the scene. *

Police Respond to Robbery Call on Robinson Street – Monday, August 8th, 2022, at around 3:11 A.M., Officers responded to the 100 block of Robinson Street for a robbery call.  Upon arrival, Officers located a 21-year-old male who reported just being robbed.  The investigation revealed that the victim was approached by three males near Lincoln Park, and one of the suspects was armed with a gun.  The suspects forcibly stole items from the victim, including his car.  There were no injuries reported.

Robbery Call at Geddes and Gifford Streets – Monday, August 8th, 2022, at around 3:11 A.M., Officers responded to S. Geddes Street and Gifford Street for a robbery call.  Upon arrival, Officers located a 54-year-old male who reported just being robbed and stabbed.  The investigation revealed that the victim was approached by three males in the 200 block of S. Geddes Street.  The suspects attacked the victim, stabbed him in both legs and stole personal proceeds from the victim.  The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is expected to survive. *
