Selections from Robert Shetterly’s ongoing portrait series Americans Who Tell the Truth have been exhibited at ArtRage in 2010 and 2016. His entire series (238 at the time) was exhibited at Syracuse University in 2018. He will be traveling to CNY in connection to a new exhibition at Cornell University and we are delighted to welcome him to ArtRage to give us an update on his work and to celebrate the recent launch of his new book, Portraits of Racial Justice which will be available for purchase for $34.95.
In honor of Armistice Day (11/11), Shetterly will also share portraits and thoughts about some truth tellers who have fought for both the end of war and for racial justice. Also note: due to the pandemic we will not be hosting an opening reception for our new exhibition Robin Holder: USA: The United States of Anxiety/We’re in it Together and this will be the first chance for the public to view the exhibition.
