Town of DeWitt, New York – The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office reports that Detectives assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Abused Persons Unit have charged an out of state couple in connection with the sexual assault of a woman that occurred in the Town of DeWitt.
On August 23rd, at approximately 9:30 A.M., Officers from the Town of DeWitt Police Department responded to the Red Roof Inn located at 6614 Thompson Road in the Town of DeWitt for a reported sex offense that just occurred. While interviewing the adult female victim, she reported that she met an adult couple at the hotel and during the encounter, she was held against her will, beaten, raped, and forced to perform sexual acts on the two in the presence of two children. The victim was able to escape the hotel room and report the incident to the front desk clerk, who called 911.
The suspects were located inside the room where the alleged incident occurred and were taken into custody. Also, inside the room, were two small children, who were transported to the McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center and later placed in the custody of the Onondaga County Child Protective Services. Detectives arrested the two suspects, Dustin Wilson, 27 and Tasheana Flannery 30, both of Leominster, MA, and charged them with Rape in the 1st degree, three counts of criminal sexual act in the 1st degree, two counts of aggravated sexual abuse in the 1st degree, assault in the 2nd degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree, unlawful imprisonment in the 2nd degree and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. They were arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court and were remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center. Wilson is being held without bail and Flannery is being held on $25,000 cash/$50,000 bond. Both are scheduled to reappear in court on August 29th.
