Onondaga Community College’s Eunice D. Williams has been selected to receive a “2015 Most Powerful & Influential Woman Award of the Tri-State Area.” She will be recognized for her excellence in leadership at the Tri-State Diversity & Leadership Conference in August in New York City. The Tri-State Diversity Council includes the states of Connecticut, New Jersey and New York.
Williams has worked at Onondaga since 1996. She is the College’s Vice President, Chief Diversity Officer. Williams is responsible for providing leadership and support for the College’s Diversity Council, working with college groups and college administrators in the formulation and review of programs and policies pertaining to the needs of diverse and underrepresented populations, and advising college constituencies on multicultural/diversity issues, trends and program activities. She also serves as an adjunct instructor in the General Studies department at OCC.
In 2013 Williams received a SUNY Chancellor’s Award in the category of Professional Service. She resides in East Syracuse.
