Officials: “Attorney General James has earned the support and trust of New Yorkers in Central New York”
New York – New York Attorney General Letitia James today announced that nine Democratic lawmakers and county chairs representing Syracuse and Central New York have endorsed her re-election for attorney general. In their endorsement, the legislators and county chairs highlighted Attorney General James’ commitment to rooting out corruption, combating the opioid crisis, and standing up for tenant safety and livable housing for New Yorkers across the state.
The coalition includes State Senator Rachel May, State Senator John Mannion, Assemblymember and Onondaga County Democratic Party Chairwoman Pam Hunter, Assemblymember Bill Magnarelli, Assemblymember Al Stirpe, Cayuga County Democratic Party Chairwoman Dia Carabajal, Cortland County Democratic Party Chairman Tim Perfetti, Madison County Democratic Party Chairwoman Liz Moran, and Oswego County Democratic Party Chairwoman Betsy Passer.
“Over the last four years, Attorney General Letitia James has worked day in and day out to improve the lives of New Yorkers in every corner of the state,” said the group of Central New York leaders. “She has taken on some of the toughest fights, courageously standing up to corporate giants, corrupt politicians, and predatory actors, all to protect our own community. Now, it’s our time to stand with her. We are lucky to have Attorney General James working on our behalf every day, and we look forward to her leadership for years to come.”
