National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, which is scheduled for Saturday, October 29th.

If you have unused or expired prescription medications this is a great opportunity to ensure they are disposed of properly. Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue, leading to accidental poisoning, overdose, and abuse.

Members of the Sheriff’s Office will be at the below listed locations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the public to bring their expired and no longer needed medications for disposal:

  • Wegmans- 3955 Route 31, Liverpool
  • Wegmans- 7519 Oswego Road, Liverpool
  • Wegmans- 4979 West Taft Road, Liverpool
  • Walgreens- 5942 South Salina Street, Nedrow

No needles, syringes, or liquids accepted at the collection site. The service is free and anonymous with no questions asked.
