There a lot in the New York State Budget. Mayor Ben Walsh comments on what it means for Syracuse.
Statement by Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh on New York State Governor Kathy Hochul’s FY 2023 state budget:
“Governor Hochul’s “New York Dream” budget is delivering real funding to vital priorities for the City of Syracuse. From significant funding in schools and education for our children and teachers, to greater resources and investment in housing, law enforcement and community-based gun violence initiatives, this budget will help us continue to make progress in Syracuse,” said Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh. “I’m particularly pleased to see commitments to large-scale infrastructure projects including the replacement of I-81, the increased funding for CHIPS, and the extension of the State Touring Routes money, which helped us complete record number of miles of road reconstruction last year.”
