Creative challenge offers $1,000 prize for best mask-wearing message
(Syracuse, New York) BABY B.A.C.K. INC., a Syracuse-based behavioral health service provider, has launched the #MaskOn2021 competition to harness the creative power of kids. Any New York State student in kindergarten through sixth grade can submit a video of themselves wearing a mask and performing a skit, song, rap, dance, poem — any form of expression — encouraging loved ones and their community to follow CDC guidelines and adhere to all COVID-19 precautions. The student who submits the most creative #MaskOn2021 entry will receive a $1,000 prize. The contest began on February 8 and entries will be accepted until 12:00 a.m. EST on March 7, 2021.
“The challenge will raise awareness surrounding COVID-19 and to follow CDC guidelines” says Gerald Seals, President & CEO of BABY B.A.C.K. INC. Video entries can be posted on Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #MaskOn2021 or submitted online at MaskOn2021.com. Online submissions require a YouTube or Vimeo link; instructions are posted on the website. A winner will be selected on or about March 15.
The challenge is made possible with technical support from the CDC Foundation and is created in partnership with M&T Bank.
