‘It’s A Tradition’: Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone Returns to The Great New York State Fair

Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone returns to the Great New York State Fair for a show full of 1960’s musical memories at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 30 on the Chevy Court stage. It will be the 12th appearance at the Fair for the singer of timeless hits such as “Mrs. Brown You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter,” “A Kind of a Hush,” and “I’m Henry the VIII I Am.” The show takes place on the second Senior Day. Admission for people aged 65 and up is free every day of the Fair.

State Fair interim Director Sean Hennessey said, “Peter Noone at the Fair? It’s a tradition. He’s an amazing entertainer and it’s always a great audience for his shows. We’re so pleased to be able to bring him back for our Senior Day audience.”

All concerts in the Chevrolet Music Series are free with Fair admission. Concerts at the Fair are sponsored by Chevrolet.

Founded in 1841, the Great New York State Fair showcases the best of New York agriculture, provides top-quality entertainment and is a key piece of the state’s CNY Rising strategy of growing the Central New York economy through tourism. The 2022 Fair begins Wednesday, August 24, and continues through Monday, September 5.

The New York State Fairgrounds is a 375-acre exhibit and entertainment complex that operates all year.
