In Remembrance of September 11, 2001

Honoring the memory of those who were victims, families of 9/11 victims, 9/11 survivors and those who rose up in service in response to these attacks; all are encouraged to show support in 17 Minutes of Silence.

This year’s candle lighting ceremony and 17 minutes of silence will be at Fayette Fighters Park 400 block of East Fayette St. –Downtown Syracuse. Wednesday, 9/11 at 8:30AM (Police & Fire Honor Guard). 17 Minutes of Silence starts at 8:46am to 9:03am; silence marking the time the first jet struck the north tower of the World Trade Center to the time the second jet struck the south tower.

It is important in life to remember sacrifices our 1st responders make, as well as showing support. Several here knew someone affected by September 11th and/or they volunteered to aid in various efforts in NYC and/or showed support in other ways.
