Syracuse, NY — Today, the Onondaga County Democratic Committee endorsed Francis Conole to be the Democratic nominee in New York’s 22nd Congressional District. The process saw Francis Conole earn 80% of the vote with record high turnout. Earning this designation establishes Francis as “the frontrunner in the June primary” according to the Syracuse Post-Standard’s Mark Weiner.
The Onondaga County Democratic Committee’s endorsement compliments Francis Conole’s other critical campaign strengths:
- Strong financial advantage: Francis has more than 6 times the cash on hand of any Democratic candidate living in the new NY-22.
- Unified political support: Francis has a strong unified coalition of political support. He is the only candidate to be endorsed by a labor union, along with over two dozen locally elected officials including the majority of the Democratic Caucus of the Onondaga County Legislature and the majority of the Syracuse Common Council.
- CNY roots, experience, and platform: Francis has deep roots in Central New York as well as a lifetime of service at the highest levels of our military and government. He is also the only Democratic candidate to release a clearly articulated policy platform.
