Syracuse, NY —On August 23rd, 2022, the Democratic voters of NY-22 chose Francis Conole to be their nominee for New York’s 22nd Congressional District. Francis will face a Republican nominee that according to Conole, “is too extreme and too out of touch for Central New York”. Conole continues, “California venture capitalist Brandon Williams supports overturning New York’s laws that guarantee a safe abortion and lives outside the district on truffle farm.”
Francis is a lifelong Central New Yorker who has spent his life serving this country in the Navy and will bring that dedication and selflessness to Congress to confront rising costs and protect a woman’s right to choose.

Now officially the Democratic nominee, Francis believes that he is the clear favorite to win the general election in NY-22, due to the campaigns existing strengths:
- Commanding financial advantage: Francis outpaced both Republicans by a 3 to 1 margin in the latest FEC filing period.
- Unified political support: Francis has a strong unified coalition of political support. He is the designated and endorsed candidate for the Onondaga and Oneida County Democratic Committees and has a long list of local endorsers including, majorities of Democrats on the Onondaga County Legislature and Syracuse Common Council, as well as the endorsement of Ironworkers Local 60.
- CNY roots, experience: Francis has deep roots in Central New York as well as a lifetime of service at the highest levels of our military and government as a Naval Academy graduate, Iraq War veteran, and former advisor to the Secretary of Defense.
- Platform: Francis has rolled out a platform that is laser focused on addressing the challenges working people face – lowering costs for working families, taking on big corporations and corruption in Washington while investing in advanced manufacturing and clean energy jobs.

Francis Conole, a proud Democrat, a fourth generation Central New Yorker, U.S. Naval Academy graduate, Iraq War Veteran, and Defense Secretary Policy Advisor has dedicated his life to service and sacrifice.
