Onondaga County is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the positions of Maintenance Electrician and Instrumentation Mechanic in our WEP department (Water Environmental Protection).
Maintenance Electrician
Minimum Qualifications
Four (4) years of work experience, or its part-time equivalent, in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment which must have included laying out of work and diagnosis of malfunctions.
NOTE: Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university, or its equivalent in technical or apprentice training, in electronic or electrical engineering technology or engineering or technical curriculum which related to electrical construction or maintenance or repair of electronic equipment may substitute for a maximum of two (2) years of work experience.
Instrumentation Mechanic
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Five (5) years of full time work experience in the maintenance, repair and installation of electrical mechanical, heating or air conditioning systems, or the electrical and instrumentation equipment utilized in water and/or sewage treatment, such as, low and medium voltage switch gears, flow meters, motor controllers, and level recorders.
