County Executive Ryan McMahon Announces Public Hearings to Help Plan the Future of Aging Services in Onondaga County

Comments sought on 2020 Service Plan and Four-Year Service Plan

Syracuse, N.Y. – County Executive J. Ryan McMahon, II announced that two public hearings will take place to help plan the future of aging services. Specifically, the Onondaga County Office for Aging is seeking input on the 2020 Service Plan as well as the Four-Year Service Plan.

The first hearing will be held Tuesday, October 22nd from 1:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. at the Magnarelli Community Center at McChesney Park. The address is 2300 Grant Boulevard, Syracuse N.Y. 13208. The second hearing will be held on Wednesday October 23rd from 1:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. at the Clay Town Hall located at 4401 State Route 31, Clay, N.Y. 13041.

County Executive McMahon said, “Our seniors are a valued part of our community and their input is critical to ensuring we provide the best services at the highest quality.” McMahon continued, “I encourage folks to come out and share their thoughts and ideas so we can continue to make Onondaga County the best place to live, work, play and retire!”

Summaries of the proposed 2020 Service Plan are available for review at the Onondaga County Office for Aging or on-line at http://www.ongov.net/aging/news.html.
