The City of Syracuse and Onondaga County host a picnic to recognize the participants of the 2019 City-County Summer Youth Employment Program. This summer, the program placed approximately 1,142 high school and college students in positions in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. The picnic includes musical performances by youth participants, a DJ, and a special guest speaker from the Syracuse Mets.
Employer sites included: Digital Hyve, Hueber-Breuer Construction Co., Inc., Acropolis, Gardner & Capparelli CPAs, TCG Player, and Cooperative Federal Credit Union. Partners and sponsors are: CNY Works, On Point for College, Onondaga County, City of Syracuse, PEACE, Inc., Boys and Girls Clubs of Syracuse, Northside Learning Center, A.M.E. Zion Church, Bank of America, the Allyn Foundation, Molina Healthcare, and the Good Life Foundation.
