NY-690 Northbound Ramp at Thruway Exit 39 to Close to Traffic on Friday Morning

The New York State Department of Transportation is alerting motorists that the NY-690 northbound ramp from Thruway Exit 39 will be closed to traffic at 9 a.m. Friday, December 2, to facilitate bridge deck repairs.  The ramp is expected to reopen to the traveling public by 3 p.m., weather permitting.

A signed detour will direct traffic to use I-690 eastbound to Jones Road to access NY-690 northbound.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in work zones.  In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
