Francis Conole Releases Second Ad of General Election, “Fight Of My Life”, Which Highlights His Military Service And Commitment To Fighting For Central New Yorkers

Syracuse, NY — On September 21st, Francis Conole released his second ad of the general election, “Fight of My Life”. It highlights his service in the Navy, leading divisions of men and women on multiple warships during the Iraq War, but also his greatest challenge to date: Taking on DC insiders to fight for the hardworking people of Central New York. Francis Conole has a new mission to work for Central New Yorkers and create the next generation of manufacturing jobs right here.

“From my time serving leading sailors aboard a 40,000 ton warship and on the ground in Iraq to serving Secretaries of Defense in both parties, I’ve always taken on tough fights. But our toughest fight is right here, to deliver for the people of Central New York. For too long this region has been sold out by corporate greed, bad trade deals, and special interests. I saw it firsthand when I was a child, and Carrier laid off my father and so many others throughout Central New York. Central New Yorkers are exhausted and tired of politicians that put the interests of their donors over people. I will always fight for the hardworking people of Central New York to deliver for this district. That is what this campaign is about, and that is my promise to the hard-working people of Central New York,” said Francis Conole, Democratic nominee for NY-22.

Now officially the Democratic nominee, Francis is the clear favorite to win the general election in NY-22, due to the campaigns existing strengths:

  • Commanding financial advantage: Francis Conole holds an almost 3 to 1 COH edge over Brandon Williams as of the last FEC filing report and has easily outraised Williams in every quarter.
  • The only candidate in line with the district: Francis Conole is the only candidate who supports common sense, middle of the road solutions to invest in our economy and protect a woman’s right to choose. National Republicans opposed Brandon Williams with $1 mm in spending because they realized that he is too extreme and out of the mainstream for this district.
  • CNY roots, experience: Francis has deep roots in Central New York as well as a lifetime of service at the highest levels of our military and government as a Naval Academy graduate, Iraq War veteran, and former advisor to the Secretary of Defense.
  • Platform: Francis has rolled out a platform that is laser focused on addressing the challenges working people face – lowering costs for working families, taking on big corporations and corruption in Washington as well as protecting a woman’s right to choose.

Francis Conole, a proud Democrat, a fourth generation Central New Yorker, U.S. Naval Academy graduate, Iraq War Veteran, and Defense Secretary Policy Advisor has dedicated his life to service and sacrifice. Over the past year, Francis stood with our community through the pandemic and in the fight for justice, served as the Syracuse City Chair of the Onondaga County Committee, and supported the Navy’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He currently serves as a Commander in the Navy Reserves where he was recently selected for promotion to Captain. Francis has a proven record of solving problems in the most unique and challenging of circumstances.
