On Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, at around 10:36 A.M., Officers responded to the 300 block of W. Ostrander Avenue for a stabbing call. Upon arrival, Officers located a 23-year-old male who was stabbed in the midsection. The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is expected to survive.
The investigation revealed a suspect, Devalle Savery, 35, of Syracuse, who stabbed the victim during a dispute prior to police arrival. Savery was arrested and booked for Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree.
Another male, Steven Bryant, 45, was on scene and involved in this disturbance. Bryant was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct for his actions while the police were on the scene.
Additionally, Bryant was booked at the Justice Center for warrants he has outstanding.
