Rising country star Alex Miller will play the Great New York State Fair’s Chevy Court stage Thursday, September 1 at 1 p.m., building on the success of his debut appearance last year. The Kentucky teenager who caught the ear of superstar Luke Bryan on American Idol with his throwback take on country music is touring behind his debut album.
State Fair interim Director Sean Hennessey said, “We love bringing rising talents to the Fair and the audience reaction to him last year showed us that he should be here to kick off our final weekend of free concerts. I can’t wait to hear his new songs.”
All concerts in the Chevrolet Music Series are free with Fair admission. Concerts at the Fair are sponsored by Chevrolet. To date, Chevrolet Music Festival concerts announced include:

Founded in 1841, the Great New York State Fair showcases the best of New York agriculture, provides top-quality entertainment and is a key piece of the state’s CNY Rising strategy of growing the Central New York economy through tourism. The 2022 Fair begins Wednesday, August 24, and continues through Monday, September 5.
