The Syracuse Police Department is currently offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus to lateral transfer Police Officers from other agencies. This bonus will be payable in two $5,000 increments. One being paid at the completion of Field Training and the next at the completion of the probationary period. If any Syracuse Police Department employee refers a lateral transfer, and the lateral transfer names that employee as the person who referred them, that Syracuse Police Department employee will earn a $500 referral bonus.
The referral bonus will be paid when the lateral transfer completes FTO. A Police representative can be made available if needed on this topic.
