Town of Salina, New York – The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office reports that an 18-year-old Lyncourt man has been charged with assaulting his stepfather after stabbing him with a knife during a domestic dispute.
This morning at approximately 1:25 A.M., Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported domestic with a weapon/stabbing that occurred at 312 Roxford Road South in the Town of Salina. Prior to Deputies arriving on scene, the suspect, an 18-year-old male, fled from the residence but was quickly located at the intersection of Orwood Place and Pleasantview Avenue, where he was taken into custody. Deputies charged Ahmire Brinson (18) of Roxford Road, with assault in the 2nd degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree after he allegedly stabbed his 45-year-old stepfather in the upper leg with a knife. As a result of the attack, the stepfather sustained a laceration to his leg that required medical treatment at a local hospital.
The investigation revealed that the dispute began over the use of a motor vehicle. Brinson is currently being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center and is scheduled to be arraigned sometime this morning.
