On Monday, March 14th, 2022, at around 1:53 A.M., Syracuse Police Officers responded to Dunkin Donuts, located at 2851 Erie Boulevard East, for a burglary complaint. The investigation revealed that a male suspect entered the establishment after it was closed. The suspect entered through a drive-thru window that was locked, damaging it in the process.
The suspect proceeded to damage the cash register in the store and then fled after. No proceeds were obtained in this incident. A suspect description was broadcasted to Police Units in the area. Officers located a male matching the description in the 2700 block of Erie Boulevard East.
The male, Angel Valantin, 51, was positively identified as the one who just burglarized the Dunkin Donuts.
Through police investigation, it was determined that Valantin also burglarized the Dunkin Donuts at 649 N. Salina Street on March 12th, 2022 and the Dunkin Donuts at 2929 James Street on March 13th, 2022.
Valantin was arrested for several burglary charges for his involvement in these three incidents and is being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center.
