Mayor Walsh Says Syracuse Will Appeal Judge’s Ruling on Columbus Statue

The judges ruling comes on the eve of one of the largest annual cultural events in the city of Syracuse, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The Syracuse Mayor issued a statement (see below) shortly after the judges ruling.

Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh Statement on Decision Regarding Columbus Statue by State Supreme Court Judge Gerard Neri: 

“The City of Syracuse will appeal the decision and looks forward to presenting its position to the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division.”
