Mayor Walsh Announces Final Course Paving to Start on South Clinton, West Jefferson and South Warren Streets in Downtown Syracuse

City urges drivers to follow “no parking” signage to avoid ticketing and towing

Syracuse, N.Y. – Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced final course of paving on three major downtown streets will begin this week. Crews working for the City will pave the following streets beginning Tuesday, Nov. 2:

  • South Clinton Street between West Genesee Street and Jefferson Street
  • West Jefferson Street between South Clinton Street and South Salina Street
  • South Warren Street between South Salina Street and Erie Boulevard East

Traffic will be impacted on these streets and with the intersecting side streets. The City advises drivers to use alternate routes during the project. On street parking will be prohibited on the streets named above and will be enforced, including towing. Signage will be posted.

The work is expected to be completed by the end of the week. Actual project start dates and timeframes are contingent on favorable weather.
