Police Blotter Aug 1 -2 Stabbings dominate the Weekend

Midland Ave. Stabbing – Sunday, August 1st, 2021, at around 11:33 P.M., Officers responded to the 1900 block of Midland Avenue for a stabbing call. Upon arrival, Officers located a 25-year-old male who was stabbed in the stomach and a 26-year-old male who was stabbed in the midsection.  Both victims were transported to Upstate Hospital, where they are expected to survive. The investigation is active and ongoing; anyone with information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442-5222. ​​

Stabbing on Thompson Road – Sunday, August 1st, 2021, at around 5:19 P.M., Officers responded to Thompson Road/Northcliffe Road for a stabbing call. Upon arrival, Officers located a 27-year-old male who was stabbed in the stomach and arm.  The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he is expected to survive. Preliminary information suggests that this incident was a result of a road rage incident and fight between two drivers.  The investigation is active and ongoing; anyone with information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442-5222.

Rowland Street Stabbing Call – Monday, August 2nd, 2021, at around 1:51 P.M., Officers responded to an address in the 400 block of Rowland Street for a stabbing call. Upon arrival, Officers located a 16-year-old female who was stabbed in the back.   The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital, where she is expected to survive.

Stabbing Reported on Bellevue Ave. – Monday, August 2nd, 2021, at around 12:50 P.M., Officers responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Bellevue Avenue for a stabbing call. Upon arrival, Officers located an adult female in a residence with a small child unharmed. A short time later, Officers were notified of a 47-year-old male who arrived at Crouse Hospital by private transport with a stab wound to the chest. The male is expected to survive. The incident is being investigated as a domestic between multiple parties.

Shooting with Fatality on Grandview Ave. – Monday, August 2nd, 2021, at around 2:03 P.M., Officers responded to the 200 block of Grandview Avenue for an unresponsive person call. Upon arrival, Officers located an unresponsive adult male, Kelvin Sharp 42 who was shot in the back.  The Sharp was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he was later pronounced​ dead.

Casings Located at Site of Shots Fired Call– Monday, August 2nd, 2021, at around 2:10 P.M., Officers responded to the 100 block of Bradley Street for a shots fired call. Upon arrival, Officers located evidence of shots fired, and several casings were located.
