NYSUT Statement on Attorney General’s Report into Sexual Harassment Allegations Against Governor

Albany, N.Y. Aug. 3, 2021 — New York State United Teachers President Andy Pallotta issued the following statement today on a report released by the state attorney general regarding allegations of sexual harassment against the governor:

“The attorney general has detailed conduct that is repugnant and indefensible in any workplace and especially in the state’s highest elected office. Equally troubling was the governor’s response to the report. Sadly, both show he is unfit to serve in office.”

New York State United Teachers is a statewide union with more than 600,000 members in education, human services and health care. NYSUT is affiliated with the American Federation of Teachers, the National Education Association and the AFL-CIO.
