Attorney General Letitia James has announced a Community Gun Buy Back initiative for Syracuse NY.
The Office of New York Attorney General Letitia James is hosting a Community Gun Buyback in collaboration with the City of Syracuse on Saturday, July 24, at the St. Lucy’s Food Pantry (425 Gifford Street, Syracuse, NY 13204) from 10 AM to 2 PM.

- Assault Rifle – $250
- Handgun $150
- Rifle of Shotgun $75
- Non-Working or Antique Gun $25
Payment will be made by pre-paid gift card at the site. In addition to the above, receive an iPad along with a gift card for working handguns and assault weapons. One iPad per person, subject to availability on a first come first serve basis.
In a statement issued after a previous Gun Buy Back program, Attorney General James said. “Getting these dangerous weapons off our streets is essential to eradicating gun violence and protecting communities from harm. My office will continue taking every measure possible to ensure that New Yorkers are safe and secure in their neighborhoods, and we thank our partners in law enforcement for their invaluable support and partnership in this effort.”
