Syracuse, NY — On Tuesday evening, Michael Greene and his team said it’s too close to call the race with absentee ballots still out and Michael within a .7% of his opponent.
Michael spent the evening surrounded by family and supporters at Middle Ages Brewing. As Michael, along with the rest of Syracuse continue to watch election results roll in, he is confident that when all of the absentee votes are counted, voters will have placed their trust in him to lead the city. His campaign manager, Caitlyn Libby, commented on the certainty she has in their team’s field plan.
“Our supporters have put in thousands of hours over the past six months developing relationships with voters in every neighborhood in this city. Democratic campaigns are always successful when we go out and listen to voters and that’s what we have done. I am confident the connections we have made will pull Michael ahead when the final vote comes in.”
Michael Greene announced his candidacy in January with a 14 point plan called ‘A City for All of Us’. The plan proposes changes to a number of city policies including economic development, housing, and policing.
