Syracuse Police Investigate Burglary Where the Victim was Stabbed

On Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at around 3:23 P.M., Officers responded to an address in the 700 block of Barnes Ave. for an occupied burglary. The investigation revealed that two males entered the victim’s residence unlawfully. The victim, a 62-year-old female, encountered the suspects in her home.

During the encounter, one of the suspects stabbed the victim multiple times, injuring her shoulder, neck, and head. The suspects then fled on foot.

The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital, where she is expected to survive. The investigation is active and ongoing; anyone with information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442-5222.
