Greater Syracuse H.O.P.E is the designated Empire State Poverty Reduction Initiative (ESPRI) partner of Governor Cuomo. The initiative received $1.7 million from New York State to combat concentrated poverty and will report on the impact of funded partner agencies to do this work. The initiative is hosting a community dinner as part of a two-part report back on its impact and outreach which began with residents stating a need for people-centered solutions to alleviate concentrated poverty.
The dinner and report-back, “The Impact of Community Stories: A Report Back on the Partnership of People” is Part 1 of H.O.P.E.’s Journey series.
HOPE prioritizes working with everyday people, and hearing and listening about their lived experiences to guide decision making around programming.
“I am excited to showcase how community input helped to shape the strategic interventions of Greater Syracuse H.O.P.E.,” said Ocesa Keaton, Executive Director of Greater Syracuse H.O.P.E. “The purpose of the report is to thank the community for sharing their stories with the initiative and provide residents with an understanding of how they can access the services they helped to create.
HOPE is excited to report back to the community about years of hard work and share the stories of the people at the heart of this initiative.”
The initiative will report on the funded priority areas of education, transportation, and economic opportunity.
