Office for Aging – Annual Public Hearings

The Onondaga County Office for Aging is inviting the public to attend one of the Office for Aging’s’ Annual Public Hearings. The Annual Public Hearings will be held on Tuesday, October 24th at 1:00 pm at the Jordan/Elbridge Community Center, 1 Route 31, Jordan, NY 13080 and on Wednesday, October 25th at 1:00 pm, at the Bob Cecile Community Center, 174 West Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY 13205.

At these community forums, information about current programs and services will be shared and the Office for Aging will seek the public’s input on their 2018 Service Plan.

Input is requested on the following questions:

  • What are the prime concerns of older adults?
  • Where are the roadblocks in accessing resources?
  • How does the Office for Aging’s 2018 Plan assist?

The public is encouraged to attend and to choose the best date and location for them. They can call (315) 435-2362 ext. 4945 if special accommodations are required. Light refreshments will be served.

If you can’t attend, the Office for Aging still welcomes your comments on the 2018 Service Plan. Copies will be available on their website (http://www.ongov.net/aging/news.html)
