A NEW PLAY BY JEFF KRAMER, RUNNING JUNE 15 – 17 AND 22 – 24
Hello, this is Jeff Kramer. I’m the contributing humor columnist for the Post-Standard, and the newest member of the spamming community. Please forgive the intrusion, but I want to make sure you know about my new play, “Lowdown Lies,” a two-act comedy playing two weekends in June at Redhouse. It’s about a man whose fear of getting a vasectomy is outstripped only by his fear of telling his wife he didn’t go through with it. It’s funny, and it’s legit, not like the usual hyperbole and nonsense I have in my column.
Fact is, some impressive names have hitched their wagon to this first-ever script of mine. We’re lucky to have four experienced actors with great chemistry and impeccable comic timing: Moe Harrington, Jennifer FLynn, Mark Eischen, Brendon Cole. Add in the inspired direction of local legend Len Fonte, who spent years turning Nottingham High School into a drama dynasty, and you can see why we’re so excited about this production.
Opening night — June 15 — is nearly sold out already, but there are still good seats for June 16 and Father’s Day, June 17, and for the second weekend, June 22-24.
Prices are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students with I.D. Friday and Saturday performances are 8 at p.m.; Sunday shows are at 2 p.m.
