NOTICE BIDDERS
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SENIOR CENTER REPLACEMENT WINDOWS
AND EXTERIOR CLADDING
TOWN OF CICERO
ONONDAGA COUNTY, YORK
Sealed bids for the Senior Center Replacement Windows and Exterior Cladding project will be received at the Office of the Town Clerk, Town of Cicero, PO Box 1517, 8236 South Main Street, Cicero, New York 13039 until 10:00 a.m., Local Time, April 25th, 2008 and there at said time publicly opened and read aloud.
The project includes Replacement Windows and Exterior Insulation and Cladding (Vinyl Siding) at the Young at Heart Senior Center, 5924 Lathrop Drive, Cicero, NY 13039.
The project is funded by a grant from the Onondaga Community Development Division. Bidders will be required to commit themselves to a goal for Minority Business participation in the contract. These goals are outlined in the Information for Bidders Section of the Contract Documents.
The Contract Documents may be obtained only from the office of the TOWN CLERK, TOWN OF CICERO, 8236 Main Street, Cicero, New York 13039, upon the deposit of the sum of $25.00. Checks shall be made payable to the Town of Cicero. The full amount of deposit for one set of Contract Documents will be refunded to any Bidder who has duly submitted a Bid accompanied by the bid security required in this advertisement and returns the Contract Documents complete and in good condition within thirty days following the Award of the Contract or the rejection of his bid. The full amount of deposit for one set of Contract Documents will be refunded to the successful Bidder upon the execution of the Contract Documents..
Copies of the above described Contract Documents may be examined at no expense at the office of the Town Clerk, Town of Cicero, 8236 South Main Street, Cicero, New York 13039 and Onondaga County Community Development Division, 1100 Civic Center, 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, New York 13202.
The Owner is exempt from the payment of sales and compensating use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all materials, equipment and supplies sold to the Town of Cicero pursuant to this Contract. Also exempt from such taxes are purchases by the Contractor and his Subcontractors of materials, equipment and supplies to be sold to the Town of Cicero pursuant to this Contract, including tangible personal property to be incorporated in any structure, building or other real property forming part of the Project. These taxes are not to be included in the Bid.
Each Bid must be accompanied by cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the amount of the Bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids.
